The next meeting of the Road Running Forum will be at 7:30 on Monday September 22 at Chelmsford AC. All RR clubs are welcome to send a representative.

At the July meeting we discussed and made progress on the Howard Williams Trophy for Best Road Race in Essex. More details should be distributed with the July minutes of the county exec meeting, but if not, check back here for how it will work. Updates in early August.

There are problems with the Essex RR championships results. Individual race results do not always meet the championship requirements in the way of age categories and whether a runner is Essex qualified or not. However, Great Bentley and Halstead are honourable exceptions. We believe producing results in the correct format for the championship is a pre-requisite of allowing the race to be a championship race.

A level 2 officials course is to be rolled out to counties over the next few months.

More trail race information will be added to this site as required. I don't want to duplicate what's on club sites, but if you want to publicise / inform runners of trail racing in the county, let me have the words.
