Running Events in Essex

The Langham 10km and Fun Run is an annual event. Organised by the Friends Of Langham School (FOLS), a charitable organisation, run by parents of children in the school and other local volunteers. FOLS aims to provide enhanced educational opportunities for the pupils at the school by organising and funding various initiatives and extra-curricular activities.

Entries 321, 400, 455, 609 (89 for 5k) and 172 (90 for 5k) finished the 10km event in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017 respectively.

Under new race organisation, there will be more Age Category awards than in previous years, and also Team Awards have been added for the first time.

The same accurately certified flat fast rural course that is loved by previous Langham 10km runners will again be utilised. An improved 1.5 mile Fun Run course will be used, which is more spectator friendly, and also safer for the many youngsters that take part in this event.

All 10km entries will this year be handled online in advance, there will be no late or on the day entries, and if the race fills in advance then entries will close at that time. Fun Run entries will be made via paper entry form, and will be available on the day, unless that limit is also reached. All race numbers will be collected on race day.
