The HBO 10k Road Race is one of the most popular 10k races in the Home Counties, attracting over 1,000 runners every year on the late May Bank Holiday since 1985.
The race has a very special atmosphere, being held in the medieval village of Hatfield Broad Oak (near Stansted Airport) where the residents come out en masse to cheer you on as you loop through the village.
The course is a fairly flat figure of 8 through the beautiful (traffic free) country lanes, providing an excellent PB opportunity.
