We hope you will join us in 2024 our 28th marathon and as always we hope to meet old friends on the day and make new friends with our first time runners.
Halstead & Essex marathon is an undulating, rural race, incorporating many quiet and picturesque country lanes – ideal for runners. North Essex is relatively unrecognised as an area of extreme beauty and has an abundance of hidden back roads amongst rolling hills, woods and farmlands. The marathon has been continually rated in the top 5 marathon races in the UK, attracting athletes from across the UK and abroad. Once again, a large percentage of any profits will be donated to local charities and schools. Record breakers win a £200 prize (male and female).
We pride ourselves on providing a “Race for Runners” which has been continually rated amongst the top marathon races in the UK and once again will donate a large percentage of any profits to local charities and schools.

2024 Entry Fees: Early bird entries are OPEN NOW. Enter now for just £40 and save 20% off the full entry price of £50. This offer is only available until 31st December 2023.
Please note that no refunds will be allowed under any circumstances in the case of withdrawal from the race or non appearance on race day. Your entry fee will be added to the monies that Halstead Road Runners donates to charity.
You can defer your entry to 2025 but an admin fee of £10 will apply.
