Road Running in Essex

The following has been sent to all club secretaries. Please ask them for their proposals on how they are going to manage the nomination and voting procedures. You should be clear that the system is club based and we are not taking nominations or votes from individuals - only clubs.

Dear Club Secretary,

Please pass this on to who ever deals with road running matters in your club.

Please find attached a paper spelling out our proposal to introduce an award for the best ‘ROAD RACE IN ESSEX’. 

Please let all your club members know of this proposal and make sure your club consults them all to get a true consensus of opinion as to which races to nominate for the award and then as to which race to give your clubs vote.

Your members need to be aware of the criteria for choosing the races so that they can evaluate races over the next few months as they take part in them or attend them as a spectator.

NB/  The next meeting of the road running forum is on Monday 22nd September 2008 at the Chelmsford A.C clubhouse. Why not come along to discuss this proposal and have your say in the organization of road running in Essex.
